A turnkey offering for waste heat recovery solutions
To accelerate decarbonization in the industrial sector, which accounts for over 17.5% of the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions and wastes more than 30% of the energy it consumes, E’nergys is launching a comprehensive “turnkey” waste heat recovery solution, covering everything from design and financing to implementation. According to ADEME, over 109 TWh of industrial waste heat was discarded in France in 2023; heat in the form of hot air, cooling water, smoke, or waste process steam. This energy could be recovered and utilized to enhance energy performance and generate significant savings for manufacturers. To boost its growth in the industrial sector, particularly in industries that generate significant waste heat such as food processing, chemicals, paper and cardboard, and metallurgy, E’nergys, under its unified brand and new organization, is pleased to announce the promotion of Thomas Clayeux to the newly created position of Director of Industry Solutions.
Managing and coordinating all operational aspects of this new offering
Reporting to Martin Villemot, Chief Operating Officer of the E’nergys Group, Thomas Clayeux will oversee the 360° management of E’nergys’ “Industry Solutions” business line. This includes the company’s comprehensive waste heat recovery solutions for industry, a critical focus for decarbonization and enhancing energy performance for manufacturers. Together with his team, he will oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of this new offering, focusing on utilities and industrial processes. Additionally, he will be responsible for promoting E’nergys’ “waste heat” approach within this market segment, which is structured into five key stages: free diagnosis, waste heat recovery study, financing, implementation of the chosen solution, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Our new waste heat recovery offering combines our proven expertise with reliable, field-tested solutions, a comprehensive project methodology, advanced assessment techniques, and in-depth knowledge of financing mechanisms. It is designed to rapidly attract to a broad range of industries seeking to implement waste heat recovery solutions, enabling them to reduce energy consumption by an average of 20% per facility and improve their competitiveness. We aim to achieve sales of 3 million euros with this offering, by 2025.

Career path
A graduate of IMT Mines d’Albi with a Master’s degree in Management and Business Administration, Thomas Clayeux, 34, has a decade’s experience in industry, from in-the-field work to defining development strategy. His extensive experience includes engineering assignments at Alstom Power and GE Power in Malaysia from 2014 to 2016, followed by a move to energy recovery specialist AIT Stein, where he progressed from Commissioning Engineer in 2016 to Operations Director in 2020. Prior to his promotion to Industry Solutions Director, Thomas Clayeux had served as Branch Manager and Project Director at E’nergys since March 2021.
