E’nergys crée sa première filiale E’nergys Canada #2

E’nergys sets up in Quebec to accelerate energy transition in North America
Confronted with limited hydroelectric production capacity, rising fossil fuel prices, and the increasing importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, Canadian companies must now prioritize energy efficiency optimization. In this fast-growing market, E’nergys, already a key player in energy efficiency on the French market and backed by its sister company SOCOMEC, has just incorporated its first subsidiary outside France, E’nergys Canada, based in Montreal and headed by Louis Steyert. E’nergys Canada has also just acquired 35% of the capital of the ESCO (Energy Services Company) C-nergie. These operations mark a decisive step in E’nergys’ ambition to become a key player in corporate energy efficiency in the North American market by 2030.
Expanding into the fast-growing Quebec market with a local player!
Like France, Quebec is committed to the energy transition and to decarbonizing its economy by 2050. Businesses have a key role to play in this effort by improving their energy efficiency. A proactive policy is taking shape, driven by new subsidies and regulations, including Bill 41, which focuses on the environmental performance of buildings. This country presents an ideal opportunity for an energy efficiency expert like E’nergys to gradually expand across North America, starting in Quebec, followed by the rest of Canada and the United States.
On July 1, E’nergys launched E’nergys Canada in Montreal, which will serve as the “gateway” for its North American expansion, with Quebec acting as the strategic launchpad. To rapidly integrate into the ecosystem and acquire local business practices, E’nergys Canada has just bought 35% of the capital of Quebec energy services company C-nergie, with an additional purchase option to become majority shareholder within a few years. This partnership reflects the joint ambition of both companies to combine forces and create synergies, with the goal of entering new markets through a proven business model: turnkey solutions that deliver guaranteed energy savings.
About C-NERGIE
With 20 years of experience in energy efficiency and more than 200 projects successfully completed, saving $115 million in energy costs and 75,000 tons of greenhouse gases, the Quebec-based ESCO C-nergie is a recognized leader in energy efficiency across the commercial, industrial, and public sectors. It features a 360° approach, with turnkey solutions and guarantees of reduced consumption and energy savings.
In the words of Patrick Timmons, Chairman and CEO of C-nergie, “We are thrilled to partner with a group like E’nergys, which shares a long-term vision, has a U.S. presence through its sister company SOCOMEC, and possesses the energy efficiency expertise and resources essential to decarbonizing our economy.” He adds: “This partnership should ensure our rapid growth, particularly in building energy efficiency and decarbonization, with a complete value chain that is unprecedented in Quebec. Today, we’re at a turning point, and energy efficiency and sobriety are essential for companies to consume less and better. Our partnership with E’nergys meets this need, with a focus on innovation, cutting-edge expertise, responsibility and rapid return on investment.”
Expanding across Canada, with plans to establish a presence in the United States by 2030!
In a market driven by regulations such as Bill 41, which accelerates the building decarbonization, which is responsible for 9% of Quebec’s greenhouse gas emissions, E’nergys Canada, in close collaboration with C-nergie, is well-positioned to quickly attract Canadian companies looking for a one-stop solution. From audits and consulting to the installation of AI-powered smart BMS solutions, they offer comprehensive services to optimize energy consumption and reduce energy costs.Within the next three years, E’nergys Canada aims to become a key player in the energy transition of Quebec businesses.
As Frédéric CREPLET, CEO and co-founder of the E’nergys Group, explains: “In the rapidly growing energy efficiency market, E’nergys Canada anticipates generating approximately 10 million Canadian dollars in sales during its first year, with a target of reaching 70 million euros by 2030.” Starting in 2028, E’nergys plans to expand from Eastern to Western Canada by opening a new subsidiary in Toronto. In 2029, the company aims to enter the United States, a key market for its international growth.

Considered a priority in our Ambitions 2025 development plan, our Atlantic crossing represents a mature and well-prepared decision. To drive our growth in this market, we are leveraging two key strengths: our first pillar, the ESCO C-nergie, renowned for its engineering and energy project management, and our second pillar, our subsidiary, which delivers a comprehensive range of complementary expertise, from regulatory audits to financing.
