In 2019, Bürkert committed to leveraging its BMS to continuously enhance energy efficiency, user comfort, and building automation.
Following the implementation of our solutions, Bürkert has achieved tangible benefits in energy transition and production optimization, including:
Genersys has met our expectations at every stage of our maturity. I explored other service providers but quickly returned to Genersys for their human approach, local presence, multi-brand expertise, and commitment to open systems, unlike the more expensive and restrictive solutions offered by manufacturers.
Julien THAL
– – Facility Manager at Bürkert
World leader in fluid control systems
When Julien Thal joined Bürkert, the world’s leading manufacturer of measurement, control and regulation systems for liquids and gases, he discovered that the Building Management System (BMS) had been installed when the building was built but had since been since abandoned.
As Facility Manager, his job is to ensure the safety of people and property, as well as regulatory compliance, in a context where subcontractors are constantly working on the job. A BMS should serve as a tool to streamline the team’s work, managing not only energy but also gates, lighting, parking, clean rooms, and more. This was when he reached out to Genersys, the company that had originally installed the system under his predecessor.
Driven by its vision for a more sustainable future, Bürkert enlisted our expertise to accomplish several key objectives:
The first step was to carry out a BMS audit to take stock of the existing BMS. This concluded that the existing system was indeed under-utilized.
Genersys then commissioned the existing system and equipment, enabling the BMS to act as the brain of the plant, taking automation to new heights.
In addition to its original functions of managing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and blinds, the recommissioned BMS now monitors the compressed air network pressure, automates temperature control, regulates overpressure and humidity in clean rooms, controls shutter closures, ensures air quality, and enables free cooling by utilizing outdoor cold air for energy-efficient cooling.
A service contract has been established with Genersys to expand the BMS applications. Through regular visits, a technician shares best practices, helps maximize the system’s potential, and supports its effective implementation.
