In addition to regulatory compliance, the ALTEMA Group is committed to enhancing the energy efficiency of its buildings, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. This approach aligns with a broader commitment to overall performance, integrating the three pillars of CSR: economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

The benefits

With our support, the ALTEMA Group anticipates numerous benefits:

Energy-saving opportunities identified
With a view to implementing the right actions
Regulatory compliance
Consumption reduction targets achieved
Energy savings
Reduced energy bills

We were looking for a service provider with proven expertise and extensive know-how in energy efficiency for the commercial and industrial sectors – one that goes well beyond simply offering a software solution. It had to be able to take a step back and provide us with hands-on advice based on the realities of our business, by setting the “right” energy efficiency indicators for the scale of our activity.

Background

To comply with the regulatory requirements of the Tertiary decree in a short timeframe, the ALTEMA Group sought an energy efficiency expert to provide comprehensive support at every stage, starting in early 2022. From the initial assessment all the way to the mandatory disclosure on the Ademe OPERAT platform, and including action plans to meet the ambitious reduction targets set by the regulations! The same applies to the energy audit conducted for its historic Jebsheim industrial facility, required every 4 years under the DDADUE law (Miscellaneous Provisions for the Adaptation of EU Law).

Goals

The ALTEMA Group calls on the expertise of the E'nergys Group to:

Improve the energy performance of its buildings
Reduce its carbon footprint
Meet the requirements of the Tertiary decree

Our response

In early 2022, the in-field phase of the energy audit, i.e. the inventory of premises, was launched. The “right” indicators were identified, and the initial energy optimization actions were outlined, along with potential financing options, including subsidies. After ALTEMA collected energy consumption data for the tertiary sector, E’nergys filed the disclosure on the OPERAT platform, using the selected method (relative or absolute values) and the most relevant reference year. E’nergys then drew up the roadmap needed to reduce the energy consumption of the ALTEMA Group by 40% in 2030, 50% in 2040, and 60% in 2050.
